Test Shots and Shots We Didn't Use

We deicded to take these shots out of our music video as we didn't have any other angles of the same shots therefore it ruined the continuity.
This is the focus group we created following on from our questionnaire. We asked a handful of people questions about our genre and music videos in general to gain ideas from their responses.

Target Audience Questionnaire

An important part of our research and planning towards our music video is our audience analysis. We need to come up with a target audience when creating our video therefore a questionnaire for the public was essential. In this questionnaire we will ask basic questions such as what genre of music they generally listen to, what they like to get out of a music video etc. The target audience for our music video are teengers and young adults, predominantly female. Comparing Products

I am very pleased with the outcome of our ancillary task. I feel that I have really captured Katy Perry's style and this is highly reflected in our work. What I aimed to do, and did. It was important to me to maintain the elaborate colour schemes that Katy Perry frequntly uses. This is a very unique style and a typial convention in her work, and predominantly, genre which I really wanted to maintain. Getting the font right was also a big factor for me. The font is very eye catching and familiar on Katy Perry's work so I took a lot time doing this. I spent a long time on Photoshop playing with different colour, layers and states before finally coming up with a finished product. I added a posterized layer to the artist to give it a cartoon affect, which isn't a common factor on any of her album covers, I just thought it gave it a contemporary feel.

Our Logo

This is the logo I created for our record company. Through our research we learned that most record company logos were very plain consisting mainly of no more than two colours. We wanted our logo to be very artistic to back up the sort of music we aim to produce.
